Norma Smith Handling Seminars

Some of the world's most beloved dogs have been entrusted into my care. Specializing in their unique needs has always been top priority. For over 45 years, dogs have been my best friends. I have shown, trained, bred, loved and cared for dogs owned by Olympic athletes, heirs to a soft drink empire, as well as the dogs of owners just like you and me. I began my journey in the show world with a Cocker Spaniel. I was an assistant for 9 years before going out on my own. In becoming a Top Handler, I've shown many, many champions, #1 dogs and over 250 Best In Shows and Group Placement at Westminster Kennel Club.  I have had the honor of being a part of the Westminster Dog Show press team. I am a member and trophy chairwoman of the prestigious Morris & Essex Kennel Club and am an honorary member of the Grand Valley Kennel Club. Also, I have had the privilege of judging the Top 20 at several Breed Nationals. Amron Kennels has been breeding Bouviers des Flandres and French Bulldogs for 35+ years. I have bred many champions, multiple Best In Show, Specialty and Group winners, always striving for the betterment of their breeds. We have embarked on an exciting new adventure of teaching handling seminars throughout the world.  - Norma Smith

The goal for this seminar is to help fix what is not working and gain the WINNING EDGE.

Saturday, 8:00 AM CDT - 4:00 PM CDT:

This will cover aspects of showing for both beginners and experts. Demonstrations and discussion will include
the best way to stack your dog, discussion about the best pacing, what to do when your dog posts, and
the best speed for your dog and why. Ring procedures will be discussed. We will be working one on one with
you and your dog's issues. And most importantly, any question you can think of will be addressed.

Sunday, 8:00 AM CDT - 4:00 PM CDT:

Sunday will be a continuation of more one on one help, questions and answers. In the afternoon, there will be
a mock dog show, but it won't be your dog that is being judged - think of this as the best junior handling class
for adults! Participants without a dog will be able to observe and ask questions while the show is occurring.
Awards will be given for the best in seminar, most improved, most professionally dressed, etc. Bring your
show clothes and prepare for some competition with your new found knowledge!
